During the final meeting which we hosted in Wales we had 15 visitors coming to Wales and there was lots to organise! We had an exhibition of all of our project works; including artwork, 3D models, dances, games and even some sports showcases. It was a great experience to have so many people come to visit our school and the children loved showing them around the school. Miss Reese organised a fantasic traditional food workshop which all the staff enjoyed. To show some of the important historical and cultural sights of South Wales we took our guests to Big Pit, Cardiff Castle, Cardiff Museum and St Fagans. It was a fantastic, but busy, week!

rs Evans and the Criw Cymreig have been learning and then teaching a series of traditional Welsh games. You can often spot them on the junior yard with a ball, or sitting in a circle! They have been learning games such as 'Faint o'r gloch Mistar Blaidd?' (What's the time Mr Wolf?) and 'Pont Caerdydd' (a variation of 'London Bridge is falling down'). Pont Caerdydd is a particular favourite and features a song sung to the tune of 'London Bridge is Falling Down';

Pont Caerdydd sy'n cwympo i lawr,

Cwympo i lawr, cwympo i lawr,

Pont Caerdydd sy'n cwympo i lawr,

Yn cwympo i lawr.

Mr Stirling and Mr Matyus were proud to be part of our most recent project meeting in Ankara, Turkey. It was an amazing experience and Emel Simsek did a brilliant job of making all the partners feel welcome. We particularly enjoyed meeting the pupils from the Turkish school; Onder Ata Ilkokulu. Whilst we were there we were treated to a dance show by the pupils and a fantastic traditional food workshop. As part of the visit we had a trip to Capadocia which involved a very long coach ride! It was well worth it however, as this region of Turkey is incredibly beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Hello from Greece! We (Mr Matyus, Miss Reese and Miss Manship) have been in Rafina, near Athens, since early on Thursday morning. We have visited lots of the local historic sights and been to see our partner school. It was lovely to have a quick chat with the kids and a tour round the school, we even had a dance and theatre show later on in the week! It has been good to see all the work the Greek partners have been doing; it all looks great! We have had some productive meetings and we are ready to go back to school and keep working on the project!

As part of our Erasmus+ project our pupils have been learning about different traditional dances from all of our partner countries. Year 5 have been learning an Italian dance, Year 4 learned a Portuguese dance and Year 3 had a go at a traditional Greek dance. Along with these dances Mrs Evans and Miss Manship have taught lots of our children some traditional Welsh folk dances.

As we enter the second half of the project we will begin looking at traditional dances from our country. Our pupils will learn some popular folk dances from Wales and Britain and we're excited about filming them to show to the other countries! Later on this year we will examine traditional children's games and hopefully we will be able to teach some of these games to our partners when they come to visit Wales in the summer term. Hwyl fawr!
